Teasdale Latin Foods Announces Major Investment in Advanced Wastewater Treatment and Water Recycling at Atwater Facility
Teasdale’s New Water Recycling System Expected to Recycle Up to
1.5 Million Gallons of Water Daily by 2027
ATWATER, CA — Teasdale Latin Foods (Teasdale) announced plans to invest approximately $8 million to $10 million beginning in 2026 to implement a new onsite wastewater treatment and water recycling system at its Atwater facility. The project represents one of the company’s most significant environmental and infrastructure investments in the region to date.
The advanced treatment system will utilize both Centrifuge and Vibratory Shear Enhanced Processing (VSEP) technologies to treat up to 2 million gallons of water per day. Once fully operational, the system is expected to recycle up to 1.5 million gallons of water daily, supporting water conservation efforts and reducing overall freshwater demand. Construction and implementation are expected to begin in 2026, with the system anticipated to be fully operational by mid-2027.
“This investment reflects Teasdale’s commitment to the future of our Atwater facility and the community we’ve proudly been part of for decades,” said Tim O’Connor, CEO, Teasdale. “We are investing in advanced technology that supports environmental stewardship while helping ensure the long-term sustainability and growth of our operations in the Central Valley.”
Teasdale is partnering with EKI Environment & Water and DPS Process Solutions on the project. Both firms bring extensive experience in industrial water treatment, engineering, and environmental solutions.
The Atwater facility is one of the region’s major employers supporting hundreds of jobs and maintaining longstanding partnerships with California growers, suppliers and transportations providers. The new wastewater treatment system will expand the facility’s capacity to meet growing customer demand and support Teasdale’s broader commitment to responsible operations in the Central Valley.
