  • If expected growth is realized, Teasdale could directly employ 400 people, leading to a total of 815 jobs in the community. This would also lead to $2.0 million in local tax revenue, $1.8 million in state tax revenue and $28.1 million in annual earnings to the community.

History

Originating in 1942 as a tomato canning company in California’s Central Valley, Teasdale Latin Foods has evolved into a full-line producer of high quality Hispanic and Latino-inspired food offerings.

For more than 70 years we’ve taken great care in sourcing the best conventional and organic ingredients from domestic farms and, with an artisan’s passion, creating the highest quality foods to feed consumers like we feed our families.

Today, Teasdale Latin Foods operates six manufacturing facilities offering a full line of canned refried & baked beans, hominy, salsa, tortillas, tortilla chips, taco shells, and meal kits. We are proud to supply our products to local independent grocery stores, taquerias and restaurants as well as regional & national grocery chains and national fast casual & quick service restaurants.

Quick Facts

A total of ~22MM pounds ($3.5MM) of edible corn is purchased from California farmers each year to support the Atwater facility Hominy production. 

A total of ~16MM pounds ($5.3MM) of tomatoes are purchased from California farmers each year to support Salsa, Taco Sauce & BBQ sauce production needs for Teasdale’s facilities. 

About ~$100MM (Retail Value) of product – Hominy & beans – are produced in Atwater and shipped to California restaurants and grocery stores each year.
